In a beautiful New
Zealand native forest,
a crowd was gathering
for a special event.
It was the Teddy
Bears Picnic and lots
of children had
brought along their
bears ready for a
wonderful day out.
Everyone had a great
time and at the end
of the day lots of
happy, tired children
went home. |

|
Sadly, a few
children were too tired to be
watching out for their furry friends
and a group of little bears were
left behind. They found each other
and huddled together under a
Kauri tree for the night,
listening to the scary sounds, like
the Kiwi bird snuffling
through the dead leaves and a
Morepork owl calling sadly in
the darkness.

spent a long time in the forest
learning how to survive together,
until one morning the Queen of
