About CyberStart
Overview
The CyberStart Initiative was a multi-year technology and education initiative administered by the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED), in collaboration with the Department of Public Welfare (DPW). CyberStart made technology and computer-based learning tools available to licensed child care facilities in Pennsylvania serving children 3 to 5 years of age.
Participants received computers, printers, Internet access, educational software, training, and technical assistance to help enhance the learning environment within their programs. CyberStart also expanded opportunities for those facilities to link to other programs and resources in the community.
