This month's idea contributed by Eleanor Vistein from Point Park University Children's School who wrote to tell us about her 5-year old class's experiment with Powerpoint.

We love having the CyberStart computer in our classroom. Recently the children were interested in learning about sea animals. We researched some sea animals on the internet. We then added Lakeshore’s Theme Box, “Sea Life” to our writing center. This box includes puzzles with a picture and name of various sea animals, plastic sea animals, and more. The children chose an animal to write about and illustrate. This will be made in to a class book. Today, I used PowerPoint to make a book about the animals that the children had chosen. They love reading this book on the computer! I have attached a copy of the PowerPoint book.
