Scholastic.com’s Teaching with Technology pages offer information on integrating technology into the classroom. The article Take a Step Toward Technology by Amy KL Borrell, a Technology Specialist, offers a simple guide to help you become more comfortable in using technology. As you go through the article, click on the underlined words to bring up additional information. For example, clicking on Clifford the Big Red Dog Interactive Stories will open a new screen and you can choose to read stories or play games with Clifford. Under “Start small”, click on online lesson plan and then “Browse by Grade or Subject” and choose “Grade PreK” for access to individual lesson plans. For additional resources and links to teaching tips, click on PreK-Kindergarten.

 

Click on Class Homepage Builder for tips from teachers for your homepage. There are also instructions and templates to build your own classroom homepage, but you will first need to register with Scholastic.
