How-To Guide: Returning to a Previous Webpage
Q. Sometimes when I’m on a webpage, I can’t back out of it or return to the previous page. I click on the back button but the same page just keeps reappearing. I usually end up clicking on the close button and then reopening the browser. What can I do besides closing the Internet?
A. It can be very frustrating when trying to return to a previous web page and the same page keeps reappearing. But there are actually two very simple solutions to this problem:
- Dropdown Box by the Back Button:
- Go to the toolbar with the Back button and click on the dropdown box next to Back.
- You will see a list of the webpages you have just visited.
- Select the webpage where you would like to return. It usually is the second one in the list.
- Alt and Arrow Keys:
- Hold down the Alt button and tap the left arrow twice very quickly.
- This will skip the present page (that keeps reappearing) and return you to the previous page.
