How-To Guide: CyberStart Computer Equipment


Q. I am confused about my center’s responsibility for the CyberStart equipment we have.  Our mouse is not working. Do we have to pay to replace it? What about our printer?


A. CyberStart has purchased three-year warranties on all CyberStart computer equipment. During the three-year period, the manufacturer will replace all computer parts as well as keyboards, mouses, and printers. After the warranty period is ended, CyberStart’s technicians will replace and repair equipment as possible with any spare parts. Warranty periods have ended for the white IBMs and the Gateways. The black IBMs are still under warranty. CyberStart technical support is free to all participating centers throughout the CyberStart contract.
