How-To Guides: The Quick Launch Toolbar

Quick Launch is the area on the taskbar located just to the right of the Start button. You can drag program icons onto the Quick Launch and then access them quickly and directly from the taskbar.
Make sure that the Quick Launch tool bar is displayed. Right-click on the Task Bar area to the right of the START Button, and click on Toolbars. Quick Launch will be checked if it is on. If it is not, click on Quick Launch to turn it on.

1. To place an icon from the Desktop onto the Quick Launch toolbar: Point to the icon, hold the left mouse down, and drag and drop the icon on the Quick Launch toolbar.
2. To place other program icons on the Quick Launch toolbar: Click on the Start Button. Click on All Programs, locate the program, point to the icon, hold the left mouse down, and drag and drop the icon on the Quick Launch toolbar.

To remove an icon from the Quick Launch tool bar, right-click on the icon, and click on Delete. The icon will be deleted but the program itself will not be.
