How-To Guides: Clearing Cache and Cookies

If your computer is processing slowly, it may be necessary to delete cached Internet files in the Internet Explorer Temporary Internet files folder as well as the locally stored Web site information (cookies). To clear the cache and cookies, follow these steps:

• Open Internet Explorer.
• Select Tools.
• Select Internet. Mine says Internet Options. I then had to select General Tab and then go under Temporary Internet Files.
• Click on Delete Cookies.
• Click OK in response to the Delete Cookies warning message.
• Click on the Delete Files button.
• Click to place a Checkmark to the left of Delete all offline content and Click OK.
• Click OK to Internet Options.
• Close the Internet Explorer Window by Clicking on the red X in the top right hand corner of the window.
• Restart Internet Explorer.
