How-To Guide: Resolving Page Not Found Issue
Have you ever encountered “Page Not Found” or “Sorry, but the page you have requested has not been found”?
You may be trying to locate a particular website and you carefully type in the URL and click Go. You receive a message that says, “Page Not Found” or “Sorry, but the page you have requested has not been found.” There are several reasons why you may have received this error.
- The most common reason is a typo, so first check the address that you have typed to make sure that it is a valid address and has been typed correctly.
- Sometimes the webpage is temporarily unavailable, either because of work being done to the website or the number of folks requesting the same site at the same time. Try again later.
- If after several tries, “Page Not Found” still appears, the page may have been deleted from the Internet or moved to a new location making it inaccessible without the new URL.
- If you are using a bookmark or favorite, the favorite stored on your computer may now be out of date.
Just an FYI, during certain times of the day there may be more traffic on the Internet. This will make website appear much more slowly. So, you may want to avoid surfing during these times.
