How-To Guide: vCards

Q.   What are vCards?

A. vCards are electronic business cards that are often attached to email messages. They contain directory information, such as name, addresses (business and/or personal), telephone numbers, company name and information, email addresses, and URLs. They may also contain graphics, logos, photographs, and even audio clips.

Depending upon the information included in a vCard, the email may become quite large, and you may have difficulty opening the email. It will also make the e-mail appear as if it has an attachment. You should be aware that depending upon your system and Internet connectivity, a vCard may appear as spam.

However, more and more business folks are using vCards. But if you would prefer not to use a vCard, an Email Signature could be used as an alternative.
